There is also some evidence that vinegar ingestion increases short-term satiety.

Acetic acid, a compound found in apple cider vinegar, has been cited in some studies as the active ingredient that helps with weight loss.

Bottom line, do your research. Nowhere online did I read that taking ACV as directed would adversely affect your body. Whether or not it will help you actually lose weight remains to be seen.

How to decide on an Apple Cider Vinegar

Look for the Mother

If you’ve ever had a bottle of Apple Cider Vinegar and looked at the bottom you can see the “mother.” This is the brownish rather foggy material that settles at the bottom of the bottle. It is highly nutritious.

If you can’t see the mother at the bottom of a bottle of Apple Cider Vinegar then don’t buy it. Without a mother it means the ACV was lacking something in the fermentation process or it was heated up at some point along the way which means all of the life-changing benefits are gone from the liquid.

The “mother” is a cluster of proteins, enzymes and beneficial bacteria.

Liquid is best

Apple Cider Vinegar comes in liquid or pill form. Liquid is more bioavailable which means your body can more readily absorb and use the nutrients, enzymes and benefits from it.
